Maar dat is toch zo geplakt?
For my school project about 2D Design i’ve created a poster called ‘Maar dat is toch zo geplakt?’ or ‘But isn’t that just simply pasted on?’. An illustration reflecting the lack of attention and time devoted to youth care.

Poster
With this illustration, I aim to communicate the message that there is insufficient attention and care given to youth welfare. There is a tendency to overlook these issues, and I wanted to represent this in a creative manner. In the image, you see a man resembling our former prime minister, symbolizing the government. Surrounding him are various torn pictures of children. The pictures on the left are carefully repaired, these children appear happy. Conversely, the pictures on the right are quickly and roughly affixed, with the children looking sad and very miserable. Through this metaphor, I intend to emphasise the need for time and attention in ‘repairing’ these damaged children in the realm of youth welfare.
To reinforce this message, I added a crying girl in the corner. She carries a suitcase, symbolizing youth welfare and the many children who lack a stable place to live. Additionally, you see numerous boxes and stacks of photos, indicating the vast number of children in need of assistance.
I’ve created this illustration using ProCreate.
